Why check before you pay a creator?

A creator can pull 3M views on an English video and still send most of them to countries your app doesn't sell in. Views look the same in a screenshot. They don't convert the same. If your revenue is in the US and 65% of a creator's audience is in the Philippines, most of what you paid for lands where it can't earn back.

Big accounts are no exception. On 30 October 2026 we read the newest 500 followers of two of the largest accounts on TikTok.

AccountTop countriesUS, UK, CA, AU
@duolingoMexico 16%, Italy 14%, Argentina 8%4.4%
@khaby.lamePakistan 24%, Bangladesh 11%, UK 3%6.8%

Neither is a bad account. They are global, and a global audience is the wrong buy for an app that only earns in one market.

How does the checker work?

  1. Read the follower list. TikTok serves a public account's followers newest first, 50 at a time. We read six pages, 300 followers.
  2. Count the country codes. Every TikTok account carries a two-letter country code set when it was made. We tally them.
  3. Score the four big English-speaking markets. The coral number is the share of followers in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, where installs are worth the most for most apps.

Results are saved for 7 days, so a creator someone else checked this week loads instantly.

What the checker can't tell you

It reads the newest followers, not all of them. On a huge account that can be the last half hour of follows, which shows who is finding the creator now, not who followed three years ago. Country is the account's registered country, not live location. And followers are not the same as viewers: a video can travel well past a creator's own audience. Use it as a fast first filter, then look at the creator's comments to confirm.

Frequently asked questions

Can you see where a TikTok creator's followers are from?
Yes, for public accounts. TikTok stores a country code on every account, and it comes back with each follower when you read a creator's follower list. Count those codes across a few hundred followers and you get the country split. The checker on this page does that for you.
Is the country where the follower lives?
It is the country the follower's account is registered in, which TikTok sets from things like the phone's region and app store when the account is made. For most people that is where they live. It is not live location, and someone who moved or travels will still show their original country.
Why only the newest followers?
TikTok serves a follower list newest first, so reading the whole list of a big account would take thousands of requests. 300 followers is enough for a stable country split, and the newest ones tell you who the creator's content is reaching right now, which is what you are paying for.
What is a good share of US, UK, Canada and Australia?
It depends on where your app sells. If you only monetise in the US, a creator with 5% US followers will send you views that never convert, however big the numbers look. As a rough read, above 50% is a strong fit for a US-first app, 20% to 50% is mixed, and under 20% means most of the views land elsewhere.
Does this work for private accounts?
No. If an account is private or hides its follower list, there is nothing to read, and the checker will say so.
Is it free?
Yes. Each person gets five fresh checks an hour, and any account checked in the last 7 days loads instantly from the saved result.
