The client

The client makes an AI app for small businesses. Its buyers are owners who run the business themselves and never have enough hours in the day.

That buyer does not scroll TikTok for software. To reach them, the content had to be something they would watch anyway.

The starting point

  • A new organic creator program for a product sold to small-business owners.
  • The first 53 videos earned under 50K views while the angles were tested.

The challenge

A buyer who is not shopping

Small-business owners do not look for software on social. The content had to earn their attention before it could mention a product.

A product that is hard to show

Software that works in the background is invisible when it does its job. Explaining it on camera is a demo, and demos do not travel.

What we did

Angles

5 angles tested: the customer from hell (one per vertical, two verticals), the spouse or office manager who has had enough, a next-generation operator sharing tips, and a $1M to $10M growth story.

Hooks

46 hooks across those angles, written to open on the owner's daily pain rather than on the product.

Creators and distribution

16 creators posted 338 videos, each cross-posted to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

Kill, mutate, scale

The customer-from-hell angle launched in the first week and broke out soon after. The operator-tips angle was stopped after two weeks, and in the fifth week the winning hooks were reshot for a second vertical.

What did not work

  • Explaining the product. Hooks that described the product directly stayed under 3K views each.
  • Talking to the spouse or office manager. 6 hooks and 25 videos drew about 20K views in total.
  • The growth-story angle ($1M to $10M) drew under 3K views across 10 videos.

Takeaways

  1. For a business buyer, show the pain, not the product. A video about a nightmare customer reaches the owner the product is built for.
  2. A winning hook can be reshot for the next vertical. The hooks that won in the first one worked again in the second.
  3. Give angles time. The first 53 videos drew under 50K views, then a single week drew 1.2M.

Frequently asked questions

Can organic UGC work for a B2B product?
Yes, when the content is about the buyer's day rather than the product. For an AI app sold to small businesses, Agniverse Media's customer-from-hell videos drove 3.7M organic views and 190K conversions in 7 weeks, while product-explainer hooks stayed under 3K views each.
How long does a UGC program take to show results?
In this program the first 53 videos earned under 50K views. Within the first three weeks one angle broke out and drew 1.2M views in a single week. Plan for two to three weeks of testing before judging.
