GEO for consumer apps · Field guide

Best GEO agencies for consumer apps

A buyer's guide for app founders and growth leads hiring a GEO agency, the people who work on what ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini say when someone asks which app to use. Grouped by the job you are hiring for, with every claim checked against each agency's own site.

Last updated October 2026 · Published by Agniverse GEO

Disclosure: Agniverse GEO, one of the entries below, publishes this page. It is new and has no published client case study yet, and we say so on its card. Every fact about every agency is checked against that agency's own site.

The short answer

No GEO agency publishes a GEO case study for a consumer app yet. We read the sites of 18 agencies that sell GEO, AEO or AI search optimization in October 2026. The real AI search numbers belong to B2B SaaS, fintech and ecommerce clients, and most of the field (First Page Sage, iPullRank, Graphite, Omnius, Skale) sells mainly to B2B.

Four agencies sell GEO built for apps: Admiral Media, Moburst, Netpeak US with its "AI App Visibility" program, and ASOitis for indie iOS. Their app case studies are ASO, UX or paid UA work. Netpeak and ASOitis publish prices.

So you are buying a method and a measurement plan, not a track record. If your app has a real content site, Siege Media has the strongest consumer GEO numbers. If you want store and AI search work from one partner, talk to Moburst or Admiral. If you want a fixed price, Netpeak. Agniverse GEO publishes this page, is new, and has no client case study yet.

Why GEO for an app is its own job

Someone asks ChatGPT for "the best app for X" and gets three names. If yours is not one of them, that person never reaches your store page. Getting onto that shortlist is GEO (generative engine optimization), also sold as AEO or AI search optimization. For an app it differs from GEO for a SaaS website in four ways.

The answer comes before the store

App discovery used to start in the App Store search bar. Some of it now starts in a chat window, and your store page only gets the visit if the assistant named you. ASO does not cover that step.

Engines quote the web, not your listing

Assistants build answers from review sites, listicles, Reddit threads and press. An app that only works on its store listing gives the engines little to quote. Most of the work is getting named on the pages they read.

Prompts are specific, so shortlists are short

People ask for "a budgeting app for couples" or "a free workout app with no ads". Each prompt gets its own list of three to five names. You win prompt by prompt, so you need to know which prompts your buyers type.

Answers move, so measure on repeat

The same prompt can name different apps on different days. One screenshot proves nothing. Ask the same prompts several times, on every engine, on a schedule, and track how often you are named.

How to choose a GEO agency for your app

Start from the fact above. Nobody can show you a consumer-app GEO result yet, so judge the method and the measurement. Ask each agency which prompts it will track, on which engines, how often, and what your baseline is before work starts. Then match the agency to where your users come from. If they find you through the web and content, a content-led generalist like Siege Media fits. If they find you in the store, an app agency with ASO depth fits better. And check whether the case studies you are shown are GEO results or older ASO, SEO and paid-UA wins under a new label.

What to ask a GEO agency before you sign

  • Which prompts will you track, and can I see the list before we start?
  • Which engines? ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini answer differently. Two engines is half the picture.
  • How many runs per prompt, and how often? One answer per prompt is noise.
  • What is my mention rate today, measured before any work?
  • Is this case study a GEO result, or an ASO, SEO or paid-UA result?
  • Is this a client, or a teardown of a famous app you never worked with?
  • What happens to my store listing? GEO work should not undo ASO.

GEO offers built for apps

Five offers aimed at app makers. None publishes a consumer-app GEO result yet, so read each one for its method, its price and who it suits.

Generalist GEO agencies with the strongest proof

These agencies have real AI search results on their own sites, mostly for SaaS, fintech and ecommerce. Each card says who they fit better.

Siege Media

Scoped on a call

Best for: Consumer brands with a real content site and a 6-month horizon

A content and digital PR agency (Austin, New York, Chicago, San Francisco) that now sells itself as "full-service GEO". It has the strongest published AI search numbers of any agency we checked, and some are consumer: Grow Therapy (online therapy) at about 4x LLM visibility, Instacart at 46.5K LLM citations, the mattress brand Purple at 11.7K. Its GEO page says it reports LLM share of voice monthly and asks clients for a 6+ month horizon. It has no app store or mobile service.

Published GEO proofYes: Grow Therapy ~4x LLM visibility, Instacart 46.5K LLM citations

Fits better if: Your growth runs through a blog or content hub, not only the app store

NoGood

Retainer

Best for: Well-funded consumer brands that want growth, social and AEO in one team

A New York growth agency that calls itself an answer engine optimization agency. Its AEO case is SteelSeries, the gaming accessories brand, with "a 23x increase in AI search traffic and 27x growth in conversions" from AI platforms. Its homepage names Oura, TikTok and Nike among its clients, without saying which work was AEO. The FAQ states the average retainer is above $20,000 a month (as listed on nogood.io, October 2026).

Published GEO proofYes: SteelSeries 23x AI search traffic (gaming hardware, ecommerce)

Fits better if: You want TikTok, paid and AEO from one retainer and can pay for it

Heads-upPremium pricing. The AEO proof is ecommerce hardware, not an app.

Graphite

Scoped on a call

Best for: Subscription and SaaS brands that want research-led AEO

A research-heavy AEO, SEO and performance agency. Its homepage names Webflow, n8n and Hinge Health. The AEO case is Webflow, which "2x'd sign-ups from LLMs". Its consumer cases, MasterClass and BetterUp, are SEO growth stories, not AI search. A strong pick for a subscription product that sells on the web. Less obvious for an app whose funnel starts in the store.

Published GEO proofYes: Webflow doubled sign-ups from LLMs

Fits better if: You are B2B SaaS, or a subscription product with a big web funnel

Go Fish Digital

Scoped on a call

Best for: DTC and ecommerce brands that sell a product next to the app

A US agency (Raleigh, plus several other offices) whose line is "Get cited in AI. Get found in Google. Get chosen by buyers." The GEO page covers semantic content audits, page and passage-level optimization for AI Overviews and ChatGPT, and digital PR for citations. Its named clients (Joybird, Jelly Belly, SimpleTexting, O2Trainer) are ecommerce, paid or B2B. We found no mobile app client.

Published GEO proofNo named GEO client result on the pages we read

Fits better if: You run a store, a TikTok Shop or paid search next to the app

Heads-upNot an app agency. Useful if your app sits beside a product business.

Omnius

Scoped on a call

Best for: B2B SaaS and fintech startups, especially in Europe

A Europe-based GEO agency that describes itself as organic growth partners "of innovative SaaS & Fintech startups". Its GEO page lists Payoneer, WorldFirst, Solflare and ANNA Money, and its ANNA Money case reports signups up 60% and AI search up 164.44%. ANNA is a UK business account, so this is fintech proof for a B2B buyer. On this page for completeness. A consumer app is not its stated customer.

Published GEO proofYes: ANNA Money AI search up 164.44% (business neobank)

Fits better if: You are B2B SaaS or fintech, not a consumer app

Also checked, better for B2B

Real GEO agencies whose own sites point to B2B, enterprise or finance buyers. Listed so the field does not look smaller than it is.

First Page Sage
Sells GEO for B2B lead generation (SaaS, cybersecurity, fintech, healthcare, law). GEO cases are anonymized. The $2,000 to $12,000 monthly GEO tiers in its cost article are its survey of other GEO providers, not its own price list. Best if you are B2B.
iPullRank
Technical GEO and "relevance engineering" for enterprise brands. No app work and no named GEO client result on its case studies page. Best if you are an enterprise site with an engineering team.
Skale
SEO and GEO for B2B SaaS and fintech, sold as 3-month roadmap sprints. Its homepage says it built services "exclusively for leading SaaS brands". Best if you are SaaS.
Victorious
San Francisco SEO agency with separate GEO and AEO services. Its AI case is Instant Financial, a finance SaaS, with 15x more AI Overview citations. Best if you are finance or SaaS. See our fintech guide.
Omniscient Digital
GEO for B2B software, with cases like OnBoard (+88% AI visibility). Full-service engagements start at $10,000 a month (as listed on beomniscient.com, October 2026). Best if you are B2B SaaS.

By app category: what exists today

We looked for GEO evidence in each consumer-app category. Fintech and health have their own guides because there is enough to compare. The rest is thin, and we would rather say that than pad a page.

Fintech apps

The deepest field. Siege Media, Victorious, Omnius and Skale all publish fintech GEO or SEO work, but the AI search results are for B2B fintech. Consumer fintech app proof is ASO and SEO. Read the fintech guide

Health and fitness apps

One real GEO result in the space, Siege Media's work for Grow Therapy (about 4x LLM visibility). Admiral Media and Moburst have health and fitness app clients, but for paid UA and ASO. Read the health and fitness guide

Dating apps

No verified GEO evidence found at any agency. Admiral Media says it has grown 30+ dating apps across 40+ markets, and Moburst has a UX case for the dating app Pinch. Both are paid UA or product work. Graphite's client Hinge Health is a physical therapy company, not the dating app.

Mobile games

No verified GEO evidence for a game. Admiral's AEO page has a mobile games section that describes method only. Admiral (ad creative for Star Chef 2) and Moburst (Bingo Blitz, ASO) have game credentials. NoGood's SteelSeries AEO result is gaming hardware, not a game.

Social apps

No verified GEO evidence found. Moburst's Reddit case, organic app downloads up 90% in under a year, is ASO. NoGood names TikTok as a client without saying the work was AEO.

Edtech apps

No verified GEO result for an edtech app. Siege Media sells an education GEO service, but its education cases report SEO traffic value. Graphite (MasterClass), Netpeak (Preply) and Admiral (Babbel, NeuroNation) have edtech credentials in SEO, ASO and paid UA.

AI apps

No verified GEO result for a consumer AI app. The closest is Moburst's ASO work for Microsoft Copilot, which included a store page built for people searching for ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude. The GEO results for AI companies (Graphite for Webflow, Siege for Hebbia, Omniscient for OnBoard) are all B2B.

The key AI search terms, in plain English

GEO (generative engine optimization)
Work that gets AI assistants to name and cite your brand when people ask questions your product answers. AI search optimization means the same thing.
AEO (answer engine optimization)
A near-synonym for GEO. Some agencies say AEO, some say GEO, and the services overlap almost completely.
Mention rate
The share of answers to a set of prompts that name your app. The core GEO number.
Citation
A source link an AI answer shows. Being cited is different from being named. An engine can cite a review site that names you, and that still counts for you.
Prompt set
The fixed list of buyer questions you track over time. Without a fixed set, before-and-after numbers mean nothing.
ASO (app store optimization)
Work on your store listing and in-store search. It feeds GEO, because assistants read store pages and reviews, but it is a separate job.

How this list is built

We started from 18 agencies that sell GEO, AEO or AI search optimization, found by search, and read each one's own site. A client counts only when the agency's site names it as a client, case study or testimonial. Strategy breakdowns of famous apps are teardowns and do not count. A GEO result counts only when the case study itself reports AI visibility, citations or AI referral traffic. ASO, SEO and paid-UA cases are labelled as what they are. Prices appear only where the agency publishes them, stamped with the site and month. Anything we could not verify, we left out. Agencies are grouped by the job they fit, not ranked one to ten, because a funded subscription app and a solo iOS developer need different partners.

Disclosure, plainly: Agniverse GEO publishes this page and is one of the entries on it. It is a new offer (2026) for consumer apps only, with no published client GEO case study yet. We list it with the same fields as every other agency and say where someone else fits better.

Frequently asked questions

What is a GEO agency?
A GEO (generative engine optimization) agency works to get your brand named and cited in AI answers from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews. Many sell it as AEO or AI search optimization. The work is mostly content, digital PR, getting cited on the sites the engines read, technical fixes so pages are easy to quote, and tracking a fixed set of prompts over time.
Which GEO agencies work with consumer apps?
Four sell GEO built for apps: Admiral Media, Moburst, Netpeak US (AI App Visibility) and ASOitis (indie iOS only). Agniverse GEO, which publishes this page, is a new offer for consumer apps only. Among generalists, Siege Media (Grow Therapy, Instacart) and NoGood (SteelSeries) have consumer GEO results. Graphite, Omnius and Go Fish Digital fit better for SaaS, fintech or ecommerce.
Has any GEO agency published a case study for a consumer app?
Not one we could verify, as of October 2026. Across 18 agencies' own sites, the app case studies were ASO, UX or paid UA work, and the GEO results were for B2B SaaS, fintech, ecommerce or consumer brands with content sites. If an agency claims an app GEO result, ask for the prompts, engines and dates behind the number.
How much does a GEO agency cost for an app?
Few agencies publish prices. Netpeak US lists its 3-month app program at $3,100 for month one and $3,475 for months two and three. ASOitis lists a $99 audit and $499 or $999 a month for indie iOS apps. NoGood says its average retainer is above $20,000 a month, and Omniscient Digital starts at $10,000 a month for B2B. All as listed on their own sites, October 2026. First Page Sage publishes $2,000 to $12,000 monthly tiers, but those are its survey of the market, not its own prices.
Should an app do GEO or ASO first?
If your store page converts badly, fix it first. Assistants read store listings and reviews, and every GEO win sends people to that page. Once the listing works, GEO covers the step before the store, which is being named when someone asks an assistant which app to use. The two jobs overlap, but they are not the same job.
How do I know if a GEO agency is working?
Agree a fixed prompt set before work starts. Ask each prompt several times on each engine, and track the mention rate on a schedule. Answers vary from run to run, so a single screenshot proves nothing. Watch citations too, meaning the pages the engines quote when they name you or a competitor.
Can an app team do GEO in-house?
Yes, and many should start there. Write down the 20 to 50 questions your buyers ask, run them through ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini a few times, and note who gets named and which pages get cited. That tells you whether the gap is content, reviews, press or your store listing. Hire an agency when the work outgrows the team.
Why is Agniverse GEO on a list it publishes?
Because it sells the service this page covers, and leaving it off would hide that. It is listed with the same fields as every other agency: new in 2026, consumer apps only, measured on 50 buyer prompts across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini, 3 runs each, every two weeks, and no published client case study yet. If you need a proven result first, Siege Media or one of the app agencies above is the safer pick.
